How Dye Sublimation Printing Works

Design Printing
Dye sublimation is another type of digital printing, and in the first step, a reversed design is printed onto sublimation transfer paper and is left to settle for a few minutes. However, the designs should be in high resolution for clarity.
Heat Press
In the second step, the sublimation paper with designs are then aligned with polyester or polyester blend fabric and pushed through a press roller with 385 to 400�� F temperature. This temperature is necessary for quality sportswear printing.
Permanent Infusion
During the last stage of dye sublimation textile printing, the continuous temperature turns sublimation ink into a gas, which is then infused permanently into the fibers of the fabric material.
